The trigger language for racism and sexism uses words, antics, gestures, images, omissions, admissions, misstatements, rumors, wrong ideas and inappropriate behavior, to trigger unconscious racial/gender beliefs that inspire devaluing, isolating, unfair, cruel and/or demeaning behavior toward the target.

EXAMPLES:

The President uses words that encourage Americans to identify with the best of who they are,  Romney adopts that language, adding a caveat that infers the President's exclusion.
March 20, 2012: Romey, quoting the president, said: "We are inventors, we are builders, we are makers of things. We are Thomas Edison, we are the Wright Brothers... we are Steve Jobs. That's who we are. That's who we need to be right now." "That's true," Romney continued. "But the problem is: he's still Barack Obama."  Question: Why would a presidential wannabe consider himself qualified to define the President as an outsider?

No! Does it sound angry? Actually, I published this to accompany a response to a question from Jane Velez-Mitchelle.
