A Truly Awful God

"Oh my God" is the first words uttered by the great many who suddenly find something horrifying or great has occurred in their lives. But whats been going on with God lately? To name a few, Glen Beck is uttering the word more and more the way a chattering chipmunk runs from a hawk circling above. And then there are the hundreds of thousands of "Right wing howling dogs" barking at the top of a non existent universe about how utterly hateful the God of their choice is and who is out to smite anyone who gets in his way. Anyone? And how does he smite??

Well for one, God punishes people by having  Osama Bin Ladens deputies fly Planes into high rise towers claims one group. Oh! And all of those killed deserved to die because they live in a culture that embraces homo-sexuality. Even the pregnant women!! That very same group says that All Soldiers dead deserve to be dead because they fought alongside Gays in the Military. And then there is the constant stirrings of this awful God being Present when disturbing News of Adultery, Corruption and other Sinful Acts are the centerpiece of  some very powerful Republican leaders in Congress. This very same embracing God who is plainly visible on Sarah Palins hands when she speaks as well as Un-named thousands more who punish even their own children who are not on the same page.

And so we come to the battle of the Gods contest and free speech against some fiery eyed Pastor who runs a shack he calls a Church. He can usually be found with his ministries of insane lunatics picketing and protesting the burials of innocent Soldiers killed in Combat. You know them. They carry signs like "hooray-another fag killed." Or something like that. What really grabs me however is the total evil which lurks in the eyes of this maniac preacher. And the maniacal demonic followers who believe in him.

All I have to say is "God help them but more important "US"! Because the God they are purporting to represent us all is somewhere between that little devil painted in red who rests upon a bed of fire and - or- Beelzebub.
