Tulisa Contostavlos Sextape: Tulisa Reacts (Video)
Tulisa Contostavlos Sextape: Tulisa's Response Eclipses Actual Sex Video
Tulisa Contostavlos, (you know her as Tulisa, X-Factor judge and former member of N-Dubz) is the lastest celebrity to have a sextape scandal. Tulisa's ex-boyfriend, Justin Edwards (aka MC Ultra), was blamed for leaking the Tulisa sextape, though he argues that filming a sex video was Tulisa's idea.
The actual Tulisa sextape features Tulisa Constastavlos along with Justin Edwards' jank; you can probably find the video with a quick search, but the sextape itself isn't the focus of this story... moving right along.
Tulisa Contostavlos Fights Back
As Tulisa seeks an injunction to keep the video from going public (as if a court can stop the spread of a viral video), she also filmed a video of her own. Below you can see Tulisa Contostavlos' response to the Tulisa sextape.
We say, good for Tulisa Contostavlos. Too many people across the web are calling Tulisa a slut, whereas it takes two to tango. Also, she's right: she's done nothing wrong.
It's interesting how Tulisa introduces her ex as "Justin Edwards, aka Ultra, the old-school garage MC-slash-singer". It's oddly formal, since we'd already know who he is if we've made our way to her video. Tulisa explicitly blames Edwards for leaking the sex tape as part of some kind of threat or shakedown attempt.
Tulisa Contostavlos doesn't deny filming herself having sex with Justin Edwards, but says that the whole thing was Edwards' idea. Tulisa's lawyer describes Edwards as "seemingly motivated by a toxic combination of personal spite and financial greed."
Tulisa's fans have also turned on Edwards, and he's currently laying low while the court drama plays out.
Viewed from its highest point, the internet is a landscape of celebrity sex tapes.
That would be Eva Wiseman at The Guardian, telling it like it is.
Wiseman also notes, "To discuss ideas of shame, intimacy, consent and privacy, instead of agreeing to a sad-faced interview in the Sun, pictured in polo-neck and natural makeup to denote modesty – that's unusual."
For his part, Justin Edwards says that the Tulisa sextape was never intended to be made public, and that he is not responsible for the leak.
He claims their intimate moments were filmed on her phone and he had nothing to do with distributing it on the internet, adding he was ''disgusted'' it had been made public and insists it wasn't something he would have done ''because I regard it as ungentlemanly, because I was brought up better than that.''
