What ever happened to the old saying "Make me a cake as fast as you can." Merritts Bakery in Tulsa, Oklahoma has made the political stance against same sex images on any of their cakes. If you asked your self WTF? You're not alone. The Notice has angered many in Tulsa's community. A facebook page has been made in protest to the Notice and had been gaining momentum.

The "Christian Company" added a legal Notice to their website and Facebook page after a customers order with a same sex couple kissing was rejected. The Legal Notice of Merritts reserves the right to to bake a cake with alternative lifestyle images.

Merritts Facebook page, please leave feedback.

I see not reason to try to force private citizens to do something they object to?  Can't same sex coulpes find anyone else to bake their cakes?  Anyway why would anyone spend money in an establishment that doesn't want their business?  This is stupid PC gone awry!

Thanks for your response. I do see a reason when the private citizens say their decisions were made because they are a good "Christian Company". This bakery is in my neighborhood and I don't agree with their policy. I don't know where they are going to stop with the discrimination so I will share the story in the ways I can. If it were a White supremacy company opening up in my neighborhood they would get the same opposition. I was given a brain that came with a opinion installed and I want to share it with our community. Im sure you wouldn't except a company that discriminated against your values.

There are other companies that have offered to take the business  Merritts has turned away, including mine.

I just want a cake made with love not discrimination, they taste better.

Thanks again for your response.

Rather than focus on their real needs, they respond to the idea of the insult, of the presumption that they think others have not to consider them equal.

OK, I get it. I wouldn't like it, either, but how far do you want to go with making sure everyone MUST agree with you?

I don't like the feeling of this.

I am a straight male and I couldn't believe the story when I heard it. Merritts a bakery in my neighborhood. I think you are talking about same sex relationships when you say "they respond to the idea of the insult", The insult was also directed at me, my response is to let our community know a company is calling themselves a "Christian Company" and picking what Christians they will accept as customers. If Merritts changes there Public Notice I will feel a great sense of progress in my community.

Do you think MLK Jr wanted to make sure everyone MUST agree with him? I look at this as a civil rights issue and I will not stand for discrimination in my community. All I want is a cake made of love not discrimination, they taste better.

You comment is appreciated and I respect your opinion, thanks Roy.
