Every tween's favorite book-turned-movie monopoly, Twilight, is getting a weekly series on cable television network Reelz devoted to the hype leading up the November release of the second movie instalment, New Moon.

Next month, ReelzChannel will introduce a weekly prime-time show about “Twilight” in advance of the second film in the series, “New Moon,” which arrives in November. Executives at the channel, a unit of the Hubbard Media Group, say they believe it is the first weekly TV show dedicated to an individual movie.

“Twilight Weekly: Spotlight” is a testament to the audience demand for news and behind-the-scenes views of the vampire love story, said Stan Hubbard, the chief executive of ReelzChannel. “It really is a phenomenon,” he said.

Scheduled to debut August 10, 2009, Twilight Weekly: Spotlight will be independent produced by Summit Entertainment, the studio responsible for the films.
