The Twilight Saga: Eclipse began its third to last week of filming today in Vancouver, BC. Eclipse filming continued in the Minnekhada Park region of Coquitlam today as well as in studio. While the third Twilight film is entering it's final stages of active filming, some of the most important scenes from the book will be filmed in the following three weeks with principle actors Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner.

The most recent set location has been the Gun Range on Quarry Road in Minnekhada Park. Filming has taken place there last week and continued today.

I went to check out the set and snapped a few photos in the area. The set for Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner)'s house is also located in Minnekhada Park so I managed to get close and take a few photos there as well. PA's at the Gun Range revealed that the set was live and that stunt work was currently taking place.

Eclipse director David Slade tweeted last night about today's filming:

and so to bed dear readers, 6am call tomorrow, back into the fray after this brief weekend sabbatical. Snow and heartbreak begins in the amabout 17 hours ago from web

The scene Slade describes via his Twitter is likely the buildup to Eclipse's battle scene that will take place near the end of the film. The "snow and heartbreak" that Slade tweeted about indicates an emotionally charged scene between Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner as Bella and Jacob struggle to express their feelings before the battle. Eclipse wraps filming on October 31st.
