Some New Twilight Movie Stills

"Twilight" star Rob Pattinson would like to work on his own album for release in the near future. His musical contributions to the original "Twilight" soundtrack were well received and fans have been craving more music from the singer/song-writer and musician ever since.

R-Pattz—who dabbles in music and contributed to the Twilight soundtrack—tells Australia's Daily Telegraph that he'd like to hit the recording studio for a full-length effort:

"I’m not particularly interested in releasing it, but I’d like to do some gigs. I guess the only way to do that is to get an album out."

Rob Pattinson co-wrote the song "Never Think" with fellow musician Sam Bradley which was featured in "Twilight." Another song called "Let Me Sign" written by musicians Bobby Long and Marcus Foster was also sung by Pattinson on the "Twilight" soundtrack. "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke heard some of his music at one point during production of the first installment of the vampire franchise and urged him to share his music within the film.

“I’m trying to write some songs for the next movie. I don’t know if it will be possible because of my schedule, but I want to do it. Music is the other side of me, it’s one of the things that complete me and I wouldn’t want to leave it aside for anything in the world. I have the intention of evolving in that aspect. It’s something I want to develop just as much as acting. I want to have a balance between those two things.”

Pattinson plays both the piano and the acoustic guitar. When he lived in London and was still relatively unknown when out in public, Pattinson used to play at open mic nights in London bars. His fame and schedule have taken his career in a different direction, but Pattinson may still be able to incorporate his love for music into his acting career.
