"Twitter Ruff": Chris Brown Sings About Twitter
Despite being busy picking up trash and cleaning street graffiti, Chris Brown is still trying to make his music career work. Brown has six months of community service to complete as part of his sentencing for beating up his former girlfriend R&B singer Rihanna. He was also sentenced to five years of probation and one year of domestic violence counseling. While definitely better than jail time, Brown's sentence does restrict his career as a musician. In a recent interview with Larry King, Brown admitted that he likes to think his career is not over.
Brown is also a social media "embracer." He is nowhere near the size of Ashton Kutcher of course, but Brown makes regular use of Twitter to express his feelings about his music, personal life and other things that keep him emotional. Perhaps as a way of gratitude, Brown dedicated a song called "Twitter Ruff" to the increasingly popular social-networking website. The song was released this week, and has Brown imploring, "...follow me like Twitter, follow me like Twitter.."
As to the music value of the song, I say, “un-follow." Sorry, Chris! Keep trying.
