Interesting survey of who is and who is not using twitter as tool for reporting. This semester I taught it to my CAR students. It is useful if you hone down who you follow. It is a great tool for encouraging short sentences (limited to 140 characters). The Brit pols have the right idea. They have a twitter presence in 10Downing that is fielded by the PM's staff.

I drew up a list of 55 technology journalists to find out how many use Twitter, arguably one of the most important social-media technologies on the scene. I included names of some online reporters--including colleagues from CNET as well as TechCrunch--but in the main, the list is comprised of people employed by A-list newspapers and periodicals.
