Peek has introduced TwitterPeek, a handheld internet device that only does Twitter. That's right, Twitter and nothing else. No email, no phone, no SMS, no MMS, nothing but Twitter.

So what happens if one of the people you follow puts a link into a Tweet? Nothing, since TwitterPeek is a Twitter-only device. That means no web browser. Also, #musicmonday will be pretty silent without a speaker or headphone jack.

Oh, and TwitterPeek can only send and receive tweets. So you can't search. You can view Twitpic pics, but what about yfrog? I have no idea, since TwitterPeek's about page is pretty much useless. WTF does "download followers" even mean? I can't really think of a reason why I'd want to spend two hundred bucks on this. Surely a smartphone-- any smartphone-- is better than carrying around an extra handheld that can only do one thing (badly). Wired Gadget Lab thought it was a joke. I think it sort of is a joke, but that's just me.
