* EBAY claims that the above linked bid page has exceeded one million unique views!
** Harry Reid just now on CSPAN mentions the SMEAR letter and praises Rush on the charitable cause ... and takes credit for the EBAY idea ... THANKS!
*** Harry Reid has been asked to do as Rush is doing - match the winning bid in donation the the named charity. NO RESPONSE!
That’s right, as of this moment the bidding on the letter written by Harry Reid and signed by 41 Senators has passed $2.1 Million.
When one adds the matching pledge from Rush Limbaugh, himself, the figure passes $4,000,000 to be donated to The Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation, a registered charity which provides financial assistance to the children of fallen Marines and federal law enforcement officers.
If you ask me, 41 U.S. Senators are looking very stupid right about now. I can not believe that Senators Clinton, Obama, and Dodd (all Democrat Party Presidential nomination candidates) actually signed the letter and got caught up in all of this undignified mess. Of all of the acts of congress to participate in, this one really seems most unpresidential.
Rush publishes a newsletter and given the way the bidding went with this document ... this may give a whole new meaning to the phrase "The Limbaugh Letter"!
