U2 is embracing social media and streaming their new album "No Line on the Horizon" on two popular social networking sites known for msuic: MySpace in North America and Spotify in the UK.

"No Line on the Horizon" is now streaming on U2's MySpace page and will be available on Spotify beginning Sunday, February 22nd at 5pm (GMT).

The album will be officially released worldwide on March 2, 2009.

Also keep an eye for U2's five night stint performing on David Letterman in early March.

No Line on the Horizon, the upcoming album from Irish rock group U2, is streaming live on the group's MySpace page.

The free online preview gives fans more than a week's jump on the album's official March 2 release date. U2 is one of the highest-profile bands yet to offer an advance earful of its music prior to an official release. It's a tactic that's becoming increasingly attractive to the entertainment industry, with television shows like 30 Rock and Dexter streaming in advance of recent season premieres.

You can hear the whole of 'No Line On The Horizon' this weekend

U2's new album 'No Line On The Horizon' will be premiered on Spotify from 5pm (GMT) this Sunday (February 22).

UK users of the music service will be able to hear every track from the album as many times as they want, without paying a penny.
