U2's 360° Tour Dates, Concert Tickets Selling Out at Record Speed

U2 have announced a massive 360° Tour that will take them across Europe and North America through the summer and fall 2009, in support of their latest album No Line on the Horizon.

Some cities have already completely sold out while others are fast approaching sales dates where tickets are sure to sell quickly. 

Tickets went on sale Monday for a U2 concert at Soldier Field in Chicago, IL on September 12th — and the 70,000 seat venue sold out in less than 5 minutes.

Bewildered fans were left with only secondary ticket re-seller options as Ticketmaster blazed through tickets priced up to $250 apiece.

Facing such huge demand, concert promoter Live Nation scheduled a second show at Soldier Field for the following night, September 13th.

Tickets for that show will go on sale Monday, April 6th at 10:00am.

In other U2 concert and fandom news, Live Nation announced that the Dublin quartet will be performing at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, VA on October 1, 2009.

Tickets for that show will be available at 10am on Friday, April 3rd — but it looks like you'll have only a few minutes to scoop them up.
