Lena's Satellite Wins Eurovision For Germany

Germany have won the Eurovision Song Contest held in Oslo, Norway, with the United Kingdom entry coming last for the second time in three years.

The German entry, Satellite, sung by Lena, won easily, leading from early on in the voting. Turkey came second with a song by their most famous band MaNga, with Belgium's Tom Dice came third

The UK entry was written by pop supremo Pete Waterman along with Mike Stock and Steve Cosby, who hoped to mirror his chart success with artists such as Bananarama, Kylie Minogue and Rick Astley. The singer of the UK's entry 'That Sounds Good To Me' was unkown 19-year old Josh Dubovie who now seems consigned back to obscurity as another failed UK Eurovision hopeful.

Speaking to the BBC earlier this week, Waterman admitted it was "highly unlikely" the UK would win this year's competition.

BBC host Graham Norton said after the results were announced: "Poor old Josh. He gave a very credible performance tonight and he should be proud of himself but it wasn't to be."
