An important public health news article about mosquitos appeared in the Independent in September 2007

and  has appeared in a recycled format with a slight update and without any sources in  Daily Express on 22 July 2012:

The article was about killer mosquitoes that have arrived in some parts of Europe and carry a a risk of  diseases such as Yellow and Dengue Fever. According to the five-year-old recycled article the Asian Bush mosquitoes have already arrived in Belgium.

In the following website, this is what the stripey Asian Bush mosquito actually looks like. It is quite distinctive as you can see and looks nothing like the photo used in the Express.

And the Tiger mosquito:

Beaulieu will try and find out whether these mozzies have hopped over the Channel....

The Health Protection Agency confirm that no Tiger mosquitoes have arrived in Britain yet. They have a mosquito recording scheme.
