Vancouver Bouncers and the Trashy vs. Classy Girl

This is my rant of the day: Why is it that bouncers in Vancouver give preferental treatment to those girls wearing the trashiest clothes, with the biggest boobs and the fakest tans? Honestly, it’s getting a little frustrating. In Vancouver, it’s always a struggle to get in past the line (I don’t do line ups). We’re dressed well and I’d like to think that we’re good looking girls, but it’s always the same fight with bouncers.
You’d think they’d want classier girls in their clubs, not the trash. They won’t let guys in wearing gang associated t-shirts, so why let in the kind of girls who would obviously accompany those types of guys?
In Europe, it’s the complete opposite. If you are dressed well, sophisticated, stylish and classy, bouncers will usher you in the doors - no cover, no line. We had no trouble at all getting into clubs in Paris and London - no cover and no line every single time. They don’t want Paris Hilton / Britney Spears types in their clubs.
So why should it be any different here? With all of these clubs opening as “upscale establishments”, they should probably think twice about who they let in their doors.

The answer here is simple. You are not the "type" or "look" that the clubs you and your friends want into (without paying or waiting in line) are looking for. My question for you is why do you want into clubs that are full of people you hate?

im a doorman in vancouver, and i apologise for how allot of the clubs are run here. vancouver is still a bit of a backwater city, it has allot of growing up to do, and there just arent enough people going out who are genuinly well dressed and put together to fill up a club, so for now the only way a club can make money is with the ditsy gang tarts.

plus allot of people who actually live in vancouver dont like going downtown friday saturday nights to deal with a bunch of drunks from the valley.

Maybe it's because clubs make the most money from alcohol sales. The people who buy the most alcohol are the men. The men will not spend too much $$ on buying a woman drinks unless he can be assured that his "investment" will pay off (in the form of sex). With a classy looking woman, these men may feel that it will be a waste of their money to buy them drinks because they are more difficult to get into bed, hence alcohol sales decline at the club. However, create a posh looking VIP section, let the men know there is an abundance of cheap women, bring in the said tarts, pop the champagne and everyone is happy...except the classy people like you and I who perhaps need to be joining the Terminal City Club, Vancouver Club etc...

If a woman is truley classy she pays her own way so as not to give the impression that she owes anyone anything. If you accept gifts from strangers be prepared for the quid pro quo.

i agree with vangirl... that's exactly why they bouncers let in the trashier girls.. because they want to make more money for the clubs. but as previously stated... why do you want to go to clubs like that when its not your style?
