To Sabina Saad’s exhibition (titled Yellow Badge, Dialogue with a Symbol in Rishon Le’ Zion, Israel) arrived an angry visitor. He demanded to remove one of the works that included a swastika. The manager, Mrs. Sarah Asher, refused. A few minuted later she found the work torn to pieces, and notified the artist, who filed a report at the local police station.
The Vandalized work of art is titled “…And we were like a puppet on a string”. The caption under it reads:
In the time of the holocaust Jews let the Nazis kill them and except for a few cases they did not show resistence”.
The artist commented: “In a civilized country each one is entitled to protest but no one is allowed to act violently”.
