These are various recent diggs in the FATA of Pakistan. It shows a period that was unknown up until now.
I found thes images on a blog role of a RSS feed of a Quetta news paper. They are posted in an effort to remind us all of the rich history of this troubled area.We often forget this area was in bloom before "Alexander the Great" marched in from Europe.
If we keep this in mind it will go a long way to improve the image of the tribal areas around the world.

the exquisite craftsmanship of these graves seem somewhat similar to the Chawkhandi Tombs that lie in the suburbs of karachi where graves of jokhio and baloch tribes date from 15th to 18th century.

Yes, You are blessed with a keen eye and knowledge. They are from Baloch area.I belive the dig was halted when the tribal elder was killed in unrest.
I posted these images to remind all that a rich history back to before Alexander the great. This is often overlooked in these modern times.
