Velvet Kiss

Part of a great display of velvet paintings at Powell's Books right now.

Update: There is a museum on Burnside in Portland, and it was well worth the $5. But then, my wild-livin' (KISS-lovin') aunt gave me a black light velvet cobra poster when I was five and it was my prize possession (mind you, Velveteria is not a kids' museum!). If you're not in Portland, there's a great book (with a velvet cover and much higher quality pictures than these) as well.

(Sorry for the photo quality. My good camera took a dip in the Caribbean. My $100 hot pink Kmart camera breaks and starts working again at random. So right now I have my cell phone camera.)
