Verizon is planning the release of the new Motorola Droid phone on October 30th. Last weekend Motorola aired a commercial to publicly dis the iPhone, and for a change Motorola might actually have something interesting.

Nice try, but I have to say it's weak for Verizon/Motorola to air that commercial. Essentially they are paying money to dis Apple. In contrast, people go apeshit whenever Apple Store is down, and their "Magic Mouse".

Sure, Droid does a lot of things iPhone doesn't, but since when did feature become a determinant of any important gadget purchases? Shouldn't it be: you buy iPhone because you like Apple; you buy something else because you hate Apple? What happened to the good old "you are either with us or against us" mindset?

So, is this the Droid you're looking for... or will you... move along?

I think this is the droid I am looking for, as long as I am not forced into a data plan.  maybe i will just pay full pop for it  I have att now but since i bought a house i have been unable to use my cell at home  it is scary to think that in the middle of a major metro area like the OC att has no coverage
