There are... carry the one... 100 things wrong with this list. Why is Sisquo anywhere near the top 100? Why is The Darkness so far down? None of this makes sense! None of it!!!

Pretty good list, but isn't Opps...I did it again from the 90's and lol Single ladies by Beyonce #16. That pretty laughable to tell you the truth.

Actually, the song as a single was released on March 16, 2000.

Wow, this list is AWFUL. Audioslave? ONE red hot chili peppers song? How bout snow, dani california, around the world, otherside. Im guessing VH1 gets paid by record companies. YOu can bet record sales of the # artist go up. And you can also bet record companies would pay for that. What a piece of shit

KBK

Where the hell is Boulevard of broken dreams by Green Day? And why is American Idiot on there instead? BoBD was like the most played song of 05.

2
Hector Rivera

Ummm Gorrilaz?? Audioslave?? Of course Gaga and Beyonce got multiple songs on the list. And Dani California by Chili Peppers? What the fuck happened to good music. VH1 kill yourselves

Maybe it's best that VH1 (or anyone for that matter) shouldn't make lists like this one, since they don't know what good music is. Believe me, I'm glad that Adele, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Darkness, Aerosmith, and a few other decent artists made it on this list...but...why is Britney Spears on the list twice? Same goes for Lady Gaga. And they had to put Miley Slutty Cyrus above Kings of Leon? That's stupid! >=( I watched parts of this list on VH1 last night, and I didn't like it as much as I sort of did with their top 100 songs from the 90s. In short, I thought while there were a few good mentions and spot placements but that doesn't mean this list is perfect. Myabe if they picked ONE song from each artist instead of giving a couple of pop stars have 2 (seriously, why not just pull the best song from each artist out of a hat?) songs on the same damn list! If VH1 really wants people to know that they still care about music, they should put the best songs on the list, not the shitty mainstream music! *sigh* They need to go back to the drawing board.

Stan by eminem??? Wtf. This list is awful. Paper Planes is way to low, 99 problems as well. Hey ya should be 1.

WOW.... Terrible simply sad really... Don't get me wrong alot of these songs should be recognized however there are SO many on this list that can be pitched out.... Don't get me wrong I'm older and therefor I'm not part of that "emo" movement however no one can deny that the 00s were the generation of Emo just as the 90s was Grunge. So where's the Hellena? The Black Parade? Hell where is Dance Dance?!?!?! This list is a bunch of pop one hit wonders. And hell just for the hell of it if you're going to take that road what about "Milk Shake"?? I mean if you're going to go there might as well all the way... And where is the rock?? Evanescence gets one song way back... same with Lincoln Park.... where's the Soft Rock? Nickel Back?? Or how about he hard rock? Manson? Black Label?? Rob Zombie?!?!? Hello Dragula! WTF... I agree VH1 this is EPIC FAIL

Um, how bout Eminem-Stan, Foo Fighters-Evermore, Incubus-Stellar, Afroman-Because I got high (a stupid song, but it was BIG), etc. Macy Gray should've been a lower number, that song was huge.

this list maks me cry not one of thees songs would be in my top 100 or even 1000 for that matter so disappointing what can be passed as music now days i shoulda been born in the 80s

Bill Maihen

Yeah, rock is dead! It just goes to show how unmemorable this decade was music-wise. It looks more like a Billboard top 100 list for the year. I think I only counted 26 songs from actual bands. In about 60 of the songs, no musical instruments were played other than a keyboard. I live in Vegas, and DJ's are treated like gods while bands struggle to get gigs. I guess I'm biased, being a drummer and all!

ksjunkie82

ok vh1, lets take the hip hop and rap cock out of your mouth and add some bands who acctually made music with out thongs and booty poppings. godsmack, disturbed, audioslave, metallica, rage against the machine, shinedown, system of a down, korn, tool, gorillaz, cage the elephant, marilyn manson, etc etc etc, and even add some country music in there too cause last i checked its called country MUSIC!!! and i know that RAtM and cage the elephant maybe debatable but they both had albums released in the time span between 2000-2009. there was alot of music in the last decade and to pick only 100 songs from would be tough but to completely ignore an entire genre of music and only pick a hand full of debatable songs for the other is just plain sad. take out the few songs that don't belong and add some more videos with ass shaking, (they were made in abundance that decade so it won't be hard at all) then call it the greatest 100 hip hop, rap, and R&B songs of the 2000's. after that just make a list of 100 greatest rock, metal, alternative songs of 2000's and do the same for country. this is in no way a respectaful list of all the songs that came out between 2000-2009.

moyers904

This is a Pop List of the 2000s, thus no Audioslave or Disturbed or Slipknot or any other shitty ass music (not Audioslave- Cochese prob did deserve a spot) you guys are crying about. Take it for what it is, then go make your own list

0
ThatDude148

This was meant to be a list of some of the most popular songs of the 2000's. WTF did u guys expect? This past decade was all about catchy hooks and songs you could sing along to while your driving in your car and I personally have no problem with that (it's still music whether you like it or not). It's a list of the songs that were always being played on the radio constantly through 2000-2009. I don't understand why people are so shocked by this list. A lot of people on here are so bias towards rock and metal which got little to no play on the radio this past decade. If you don't like the list that's fine, but don't act all surprised that it's a list of the 100 most POPULAR songs of the 2000's.

OK.... Beyonce at #1. Thats is the funniest joke i have ever heard. Sorry, but ya gotta give respect to those songs that are still being played in the club scene. Usher: YEAH50 Cent: IN DA CLUBBrittney Spears: TOXICAlso gotta give respect to the songs that are still being requested today,Evanescence: BRING ME BACK TO LIFEDaughtry: IT'S NOT OVERBlink 182: ALL THE SMALL THINGSAnd im kinda surprised that there was not 1 Basckstreet Boys Song. I kinda remember a song tht was like #1 for months.... "I WANT IT THAT WAY." Or how about "POP" by N*Sync? How about 98 Degrees "INVISIBLE MAN?"The White Stripes "SEVEN NATION ARMY" should have been higher. That is totally classic and will never die. Well... thats just my 2cents on this, but i thinks its obvious that Beyonce got waaaaaay too much credit on this list.

I can't believe "You Rock My World" isn't on there, hello! It's Michael Jackson, he certainly deserves it over Britney or any of the other garbage on the list. I mean "Milk Shake", REALLY? And don't get me started on R. Kelly's closet song, that was NOT a good song, it was just ridiculous.VH1 has always hated on MJ, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. There's nothing but a bunch of loser assholes on that network who have nothing better to do than talk shit about people who are far more talented and successful than they are. And Michael, the most undeserving of anyone's crap, seemed to get the most of it as usual. There's some decent choices, like "Drops of Jupiter", but leaving out MJ really grates on my soul.

1
Cardinalgirl1

My thoughts exactly; a list about music in 40 decades, including the 2000's, without Michael Jackson loses any credibility - period- NOTHING from Invincible? REALLY? But Brittany & so many others that can't even come close to him in best anything, included- huh? - ok back to the drawing board kids, or just maybe just back to school?

2
Vincent Vercetti

On a scale of one to ten, I'll give this list a 3. Only cause, thankfully, there is no retarded Justin Bieber song on here. Had you put one I'd given it a one. A one only cause of the very, very, very few good songs you have on here. You people at VH1 need to expand your range of music. You obviously don't know what good music is. Where is the love for rock fans? You only cattered to the retarded part of the country that listens to stuff that you can't even understand, or are tone deaf.

What about Green Day's When September Ends?

How is Rockstar by Nickelback NOT on here it was top of the chart for WEEKS!!! wow VH1... wow... this list... sucks.

2
Julie C

Wow, this is probably the WORST list that Vh1 has ever come up with. At least a quarter of the songs on this list (maybe more) shouldn't even be on here (the "Thong Song?" really? Miley Cyrus......REALLY?!?!?!?!?!!!!). And I don't think that "Crazy In Love" should be at the top. "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley or the Outkast tune should have been at number one. Or if they really wanted Beyonce to be at number one, then at least make it "Single Ladies." I just don't see why "Crazy in Love" would be a candidate for number one, or even a candidate for the whole list actually. Maybe they should have waited a little longer (like 10 years) to see which songs actually stood the test of time. One or two years after the actual decade ended is way too soon to make a list. All in all Vh1, I am very disappointed.Oh yeah, and couldn't you have picked a host with a little more personality?
