From the people at Pivot.
You may recall that a few months ago, Pivot Legal launched a human rights complaint against the City of Vancouver and the DVBIA for the Downtown Ambassador program.
New video has been released showing an Ambassador losing his mind and kicking some guy. Global has a full story on it called "Ambassador Fight", but the link is hard to manage in their flash player, so I'll send you on to the Youtube video. When he's not directing the homeless to shelters and assistance, this Downtown Ambassador likes to kick civilian ass.
It suffices at this point to say that Genesis has acknowledged the person in the video is one of their employees, a Downtown Ambassador who was on duty at the time in Gastown.

I don't think anyone respects or likes these red-coated, so-called "ambassadors". What a disgrace to serving the public.
Thankfully, we also have drunk driving police ambassadors to take good care of us.

As the person being assaulted (not a fight) in the vid at first I considered this as a single incident with the guard being primarily at fault. If he and his employers had been a little more gracious and forthright in accepting responsibility in this instance rather than stringing me along, we could have avoided a steal-toed parlay (metaphorically speaking of course).
