Mussoorie, 4 Feb: Vikki Chauhan, an eminent singer from Himachal Pradesh, remains adamant on the removal of the Director of the Garhwali music album “Something, Something -Missing Missing”.
Talking to Garhwal Post over the phone from Himachal, he said that he had aplogised for his behaviour during the shooting of the album on 3 February. “Now, I feel that I should not have left the sets, but was forced by circumstances,” he said.
He also cited lack of understanding and trust between him and the Director that forced him to pull out from the album. “It was my first venture into Garhwali music, but the events took an ugly turn in Mussoorie,” he said, disclosing that he was willing to resume shooting for the album if the Director was changed.
Babulal Sharma, the Director of the music album, acknowledged that differences had cropped up between them due to the superstar tantrums thrown by Vikki Chauhan. “It did not suit the stature of such an artist,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Chand, the producer of the album, is suffering a great financial loss due to this feud. “Some settlement should be reached soon in the larger interest of regional music and Garhwali culture,” he stressed, adding that in the event of Chauhan’s refusal, he would explore some other options.
