Vitiligo is the skin disorder Michael Jackson suffered from, confirmed by the Jackson Autopsy Report. Vitiligo is a disorder that causes white patchy skin. According to the Michael Jackson Autopsy Report the King of Pop had discoloration on his chest, stomach, face and arms.
While he was alive Michael Jackson was cruelly ridiculed by some accusing him of wanting to be white. Now, the grim details of the autopsy report reveal that in fact it was Vitiligo.
Michael Jackson was diagnosed with the skin disorder in 1986 and he appeared on Oprah to reiterate that he did not bleach his skin.

As someone who is african american and has extensive Vitiligo......I personally dont agree with his decision to cover himself in makeup to even out the skin tone......but I understand why he did it.

I used to doubt he had vitiligo too. But then I did what no other critic did, study and learn the facts without coming to my own conclusion. I agree, those critics should hang their heads in shame.

Harmless is right, This news are not based on false or not false claims about suffering an skin condition being made by a famous guy but this is coming from an official autopsy report. So this is not the kind of thing you can buy or lie about so easily. And about the chances of being a person so insecure about his appearance and having this kind of not so frequent condition.. this is not so weird. I'm a really insecure person specially about my appearance and due to that Im always under a lot of stress and thru this stress I have developed a skin condition which just feeds my insecurities so I ended feeling even worst about my own looks. In Michael's case could have happened the same thing as Vitiligo is usually triggered by emotional stress just that Michael was not so lucky as me, after all I'm an anonymous persons, but him....It has to be really horrible to be a famous person always on the spotlight while suffering such insecurities and have a so emotional devastating illness as Vitiligo... I suposse that his continous surgeries on his nose were due to all this and his attempts to find a way to feel better about his looks but eventually He just damaged himself more & more so He felt more more unhappy about his looks... just take a look to his last years public appearances, specially around 2001 after his last nose surgery, the one which left his upper lip half paralized, He was obviously embarrased of showing his nose & face in public and probably He would have ended having more surgeries unless someone could have make him to get out from this loop, unfortunately its a bit late for that.

Wow. Talk about serious denial. The skin disease was confirmed by autopsy. You can't get much more official then that. Anyhow, there is no shame in admitting you were wrong, accepting it, and moving on. Many people in the world believed Michael Jackson bleached himself white. You weren't the only one. I can understand some are stubborn, and some others are probably annoyed that they believed garbage all these years, I can imagine that it's hard to accept that and admit you were wrong. But many have admitted it. Type "Michael Jackson vitiligo" in google and look at the many people apologising for judging him unfairly. They have accepted that they were wrong, and they apologised, and that was it. I respect those people. You're not stupid for believing he wanted to be white. For YEARS there was no explanation for Michael Jackson's color change. Many had to fill in the dots themselves. That's how all this bleaching garbage came about. When Michael Jackson finally said that he had a skin condition, it was so embedded in people's minds that he bleached his skin, that this admission was basically ignored and swept under the rug. People just believed what they wanted too. So I can understand why is so hard for some people who have been believed a lie for so long and then have it revealed that what they believed all this time was false. I guess I can understand that "I can't believe I was lied to" feeling. And I can also understand your whole "maybe someone paid the coroner to include it in the report" comment that you have left here. I can see in your comment, that you don't want to accept that you were wrong. It's denial. I'm not a psychologist, but I know how people work. I've witnessed people like yourself all to many times before. I know for a fact that you KNOW Michael Jackson had a skin disease, but you don't want to accept it because that means admitting you were wrong. Denial. It's that simple.

Well although I feel I misjudged Michael Jackson I still don't understand why he changed his facial appearance. I know he had white artifical inseminated kids which I don't understand either. I realized why he did the artificial insemination: because he didn't want to have a woman lay claim to his own biological children, stricly financial. I don't know I understand he really was a prisoner of his fame. He had to operate in ways to protect himself, things we take for granted. Seriously Jackson couldn't just go to the club, to a bar, even to McDonalds as young 22 year old Man. Truly was a prisoner.
