Walking Dead S03 Trailer: Samurai Swords, Helicopters, & a Big Prison

Here's the new trailer for The Walking Dead Season Three, which debuted at San Diego Comic-Con.

The Walking Dead S03 trailer features Michonne being a badass, as you would both hope and expect. Also, we see the prison that dominated a huge chunk of the graphic novel series.

We get to see Team Rick perform a sweep of the prison, which should be good fun, since they're the worst tactical team of all time. We also get to see Woodbury... home of The Governor, who looks radically different than he does in the comic series. That's cool, because so does Rick. Also, like Rick, the Governor is secretly English, played by David Morrissey.

Also, at some point, the other shoe drops... and Merle returns. Is that an Evil Dead 2-style hand-stump weapon he's sporting?

The trailer for The Walking Dead Season 3 drives home something that was just only being made clear toward the end of last season: after the zombie apocalypse, the other human survivors will be your biggest concern.

Hopefully S03 will bring some better screenwriting than we've had in the past (the S02 finale proved that it was possible), and maybe, just maybe... more than six lines for T-Dog.
