Walt Disney joint production hits Telugu screen
Hyderabad: Walt Disney’s joint production with director K. Prakasha Rao son of great director K. Raghavendra Rao, ‘Anaganaga Oka Dhirudu’ has hit the Indian screen in three languages – Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. Reports say that the film is doing well. Speaking in Hyderabad, hero Sidharth said he was happy with the success of the film. He said he was elated to act in the fantasy film with special effects never seen on the Indian screen. While Sruthi Hasan, daughter of hero Kamal Hasan has acted as the heroine, while Lakshmi Manchu, daughter of noted villain-turned-hero-turned-producer Mohan Babu has acted as the vamp.
Film industry says that the film has excellent graphics. However industry sources say that the film was not a resounding hit as was expected. However, Sidharth said the film is attracting children, who he says are the mainstay for the film industry.
Manchu Lakshmi’s portrayal of the vamp character is getting praises from one and all. Lakshmi was in Hollywood and learnt acting there. After returning to India, she has been waiting in the wings for an opening in the films. Though she has not got the chance to act as a heroine, which she wanted, she has utilized the wonderful opportunity she got to act as a vamp and has impressed every one in the industry as well as the audience.
