NP Rank:
Wannabe Christian conservative Congressman showing hypocrisy
Gary Boisclair is a a Christian conservative running for the U.S. Congress in the state of Minnesota against Muslim Congressman Keith Ellison. Well, Mr. Boisclair believes that Ellison shouldn't be in the U.S. Congress because there are many bad things (which there are) in the Islamic text, the Quran. The wannabe congressman has a point. Why should we elect a person who swears an oath on a book with horrible things? Well, how about the bible?
Defense of rape
So they sent twelve thousand warriors to Jabesh-gilead with orders to kill everyone there, including women and children. "This is what you are to do," they said. "Completely destroy all the males and every woman who is not a virgin." Among the residents of Jabesh-gilead they found four hundred young virgins who had never slept with a man, and they brought them to the camp at Shiloh in the land of Canaan. (Judges 21:10-24 NLT)
Kill People Who Don't Listen to Priests
Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel. (Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT)
Kill Witches
You should not let a sorceress live. (Exodus 22:17 NAB)
Kill Homosexuals
"If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives." (Leviticus 20:13 NAB)
So, according to the logic of this would be congressman, no Christian should ever serve in the halls of Congress, including him.
