Princess of Nebraska Exclusive Trailer

Director Wayne Wang has done the maveric indie stuff, like Chan is Missing. He's done milquetoast crap like Maid in Manhattan. Most know him through hits like Smoke and The Joy Luck Club.

Now he's back with two new projects, but the newsworthy bit involves the method of distribution for one of them.

While "A Thousand Years of Good Prayers" is being released theatrically by Magnolia Pictures and as video-on-demand by HDNet, Wang's more adventurous Li adaptation, "The Princess of Nebraska," will pioneer a heretofore untested method of feature-film distribution by premiering in mid-October on YouTube, absolutely free to viewers.
To this day, San Francisco has a highly-localized Asian-American film scene, with local straight-to-DVD distribution that doesn't leave the Bay Area.
