NP Rank:
“Well worth it” Susan Boyle
In one sense it was good that a bit of the lime light has been taken away from Susan Boyle of who sang a good song but the wrong one to put her in top position. “I dreamed a dream”. The song she should have sung would of been one and one that showed the value of the total range of her voice.
Was this choice of song matched to the need of taking the lime light away for a while and place it on the great dance act of diversity. We will never know and it fact achieved a good aim if it was just fate related. No I am not trying to take away the fact that Diversity is a very talented dance group that produced a most interesting and marvel of a performance.
On performance and quality plus the comedy factor Diversity won Britain’s Got Talent 2009 with honors.
Being a fan of Susan’s of course I am very bias but I can see why she took second place, but as a wonderful singer she will always be at first place to her fans. A true Scottish treasure, yes Susan it was worth it and thank you for standing on that stage and singing like a nightingale. You where beaten by a dance group and not by anyone that could sing better than you

It was a very good competition this year and I am very pleased to see some very talented people have a chance to have their talents highlighted and the chance of fame.

I didn't see it, but I was really surprised that she lost. All that hype and she came in second.
Thanks for this post though.

Like American Idol, I guess the ending was a surprise to most. But, yes, well worth it to any talented artist. From the little I saw, I personally was impressed with Jamie Pugh, who didn't make it into the finals.

I really wasn't surprised she didn't win, she cracks under pressure. She should have a career in music if she wants it but she's not the best that the show had. Her voice was off in a lot of spots in her semi-final performance. I haven't gotten to her finals performance yet as I like to watch all the videos in sequence. She's a sweetheart and deserves lots of fortune, but I think maybe she will find the fame less wonderful than implied. Better she should find a decent career in musicals or touring quietly. I'm sure she'll be approached with offers anyway.

She will do okay, Scots with talent always do. Once she has been on a few talk shows she will learn to enjoy the fame especially if she gets a good agent and manager. We will be hearing more from this lady I am very sure.

I so totally agree that she should have chosen another song.
I wonder if it was her choice or that of an advisor at the show?
Nonetheless, she is a wonderful singer.

She may not have won the competition, but she won the World over and wont be forgotten for some time to come..

I think she has a wonderful voice and has shown true grit and graciousness in defeat. She will have a great recording career which I am sure she will be more comfortable with, I think she's basically shy and the camera is nerve racking for her anyway. She is a star and I wish her every success and happiness in the future. On another point the act which totally fulfilled the 'feel good ' factor for me was Stavros Flatley, the palpable affection between them and their sheer sense of fun just made me laugh out loud, they're wonderful! I would actually PAY to go and see them and I can't think of many acts I can say that about....
