WGN Blows Live Coverage Of Bridge Collapse In Seneca, Illinois: WGN Morning News Show Anchor Has A Meltdown
Anyone who has worked in broadcast television knows why one of the co-anchors for the WGN Morning News show, Robin Baumgarten had this most amusing meltdown during WGN's live coverage of a bridge collapse in the Chicago area.
WGN went to a live helicopter shot of the bridge about to collapse and then the WGN anchors waited, and waited.
That is when the epic fail occurred. Clearly, someone in the control room messed up.

I sympathize with her. I, too, felt cheated in not getting to see the bridge collapse.

If only there were some kind of machine that could record video to play back later.... Is WGN living in the 1950's?
