The Michael Jackson memorial is set for the Staples Center in Los Angeles at 1pm Eastern. As for television coverage, the Michael Jackson will be broadcast live on most major news networks including CNN and Fox News.

The event is set to begin at 1 PM Eastern Time/10 AM Pacific Time.

Officials in Los Angeles expect hundreds of thousands of people to gather at the Los Angeles Staples Center for Michael Jackson's memorial on Tuesday. Although 8,750 people were chosen to receive two tickets to the event, and another 6,000 were expected at the spillover event next door, police have put thousands of extra officers on the streets to handle the overflow.

Thousands of extra officers were set to handle overflowing crowds despite police warnings that those without tickets for the event honouring the late pop star should stay away because they would not be able to get close to the centre.

For those that can't get to a TV, there will be several Michael Jackson Memorial live streams. Check out NowPublic's list of Best Ways to Watch the Michael Jackson Memorial Online.

CTV in Canada will have a live stream, but you can check the cable for that.  I think otherwise u would need to watch USA networks via cable because rabbit ears won't do.  :( or if u have Internet CTV is the live stream or you can try CNN International.

We grew up with Michael in the 70's, of the same generation. He will be missed, Michael Rest in Peace.

I was not able to watch live today.  Does anyone know if they will be re-broadcasting and on what station?  Thx!
