What do Ronnie Wood and Tiger Woods have in common?

"LONDON (AP) -- Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones was released on bail Thursday after being arrested for possible assault in southern England, police and his spokesman said.

Police in Surrey said a 62-year-old man from the town of Esher was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of assault in connection with a domestic incident on Claygate High Street, south of London.

Police said he was bailed out on Thursday and he will face further inquiries in January. They did not release any details about the incident.

"I can confirm that there was an incident last night and that Ronnie Wood was arrested," said David Rigg, Wood's spokesman. "He has since been released on police bail."

Wood's private life has been in turmoil for more than a year since he started a relationship with Russian Ekaterina Ivanova. That led to his divorce last month by Jo Wood, his wife of 24 years, on the grounds of adultery. He and Wood have two children together.

Wood has been a guitar stalwart of the Rolling Stones, one of the world's longest-running and most popular rock bands.

In recent years he has also found some success as an artist, selling his paintings in numerous galleries.

His romantic troubles have provided ample fodder for Britain's tabloids, who frequently print photographs of the craggy, aging rocker cavorting with his young Russian girlfriend."

Let's go get stoned, yea. Let's go get stoned. They both have wives and girlfriends.

Yes there is much more to the story and the comparison between these two unrelated events and circumstances.

Roy C commented, "Tiger Woods seems to have fled an attack by his wife for which she could have been charged. Not the same situation."

If you insist, let's go down that trail. Is Tiger the victim or is the victim his wife? When either member of a married couple has an affair, one of the members becomes a victim of that transgression. When children are involved, such a transgression against the wife and family can erupt into a trauma for all involved.

What do you think is the correct reaction and response by the offended spouse upon learning that your partner in life is having an affair? Should one shrink into a corner and blame oneself for something that they must have caused? Or, should one reflect on all of that loyalty and commitment devoted to the relationship that was cast aside flippantly by the offending partner? Is not the natural reaction to become angry as hell?

In the middle of the night, Tiger and his wife had a confrontation in which she confronted him about the rumors of his having an affair with a cocktail waitress. They waited for this moment as to not disturb sleeping children and such.

She was so mad, I imagine, that she became aggressive with the otherwise controlled and passively aggressive Tiger. The Tiger began pacing the floor while his tigress stalked his every move and growled incessantly, spewing confrontation and accusations until he could not take it anymore.

He stormed toward the door with his Escalade keys, and she may have blocked the exit. He shoved and angled for the door like lining up a putt. At the right moment he made his move and darted by her. She grabbed a wrap giving enough time for him to get into the car and to start the engine.

He was about to make a getaway down the drive when he saw her with a wedge coming at him. He put the pedal to the metal but it was too late as she took a whack at the window.

With glass flying he lost control and hit a tree. She came up and continued to break glass until she saw that Tiger had knocked himself unconscious.

Someone called 911. At some point Tiger was talking. She continued stalking, and in the end, they retreated to their cave to lick their wounds.

Are these the details people want to hear? Sometimes a story is better told as a one liner, or as my editor might suggest, not told at all.
