What if Cannabis Were Legal: See "The Flower", An Animated Short.
Sometimes a simple cartoon gets a message across more clearly and effectively than any number of scholarly tomes.
In this short, 3 1/2 minute animation, graphic artist Haik Hoisington nails virtually every issue in that comes up in any serious discussion on the legalization of cannabis.
In Hoisington's own words:
The Flower contrasts a utopian society that freely farms and consumes a pleasure giving flower with a society where the same flower is illegal and its consumption is prohibited. The animation is a meditation on the social and economic costs of marijuana prohibition.
Exactly which world they would prefer to live in is a choice Californian's will be making this November when they vote on Prop 19, The Regulate, Control and Tax Cannabis Act.
