Whitney Houston was taking Xanax
The news website TMZ reports that Whitney Houston could have died of a drug called Xanax and the alleged mixture of alcohol that would have led to a state of drowsiness that would have surprised him in the tub and would have caused death.
The webiste also commented that the same night Whitney died in the hotel, the singer had been drinking heavily.The Whitney family tell us that the singer had a prescription for this drug, which is commonly used to treat anxiety and depression.
The drug Xanax, or generically known as Alprazolam is used to treat anxiety disorders, panic disorders, and anxiety caused by depression.
An overdose of alprazolam can be fatal. Symptoms may include extreme drowsiness, confusion, muscle weakness, loss of balance or coordination, feeling light-headed, and fainting. One of the possible causes of death of the singer.
Still unresolved are the causes, but as discussed above, could have been by mixing alcohol with this medication or a possible overdose of it. The investigation remains open.
