Who Got Voted Off American Idol This Week?

The May 17, 2012 edition of American Idol saw one more contestant say goodbye. Last week saw Hollie Cavanagh get kicked off the show.

The three remaining contestants were Joshua Ledet, Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips.

The May 17 edition of American Idol featured a live performance from Adam Lambert.

The first person to make it through to the season finale was Jessica Sanchez. That left Ledet and Phillips in jeopardy.

J. Sanchez will win not because of her talent, but because American Idol is looking to bring in different cultures/ etnicity as it is soley about making money.

You have got to be kidding me, Jessica Sanchez is the best one there, minus Joshua. She has the power of Whitney Houston and the Soul of Aretha Franklin. If she wins, she wins on her merits.I'm very sad to see Joshua go. I had hoped he and Jessica would go head to head in the finale!

wow r u fkin kidding me, she does not have the "power of whitney houston and soul of aretha franklin"! yes she was on "america's got talent" and lost and her voice isn't so great it okay. why the judges save her? no ones knows. but this is a fact and that is joshua should've stayed and philip also! its always been a girl vs. boy but really jessica isn't so great and i bet you with my life she will turn out to be like the other teen stars with their use of drugs and all and make television for being so slutty and then everyone will be like talking crap about her - example Miley Cyrus. cmon now have you not seen the way she dress and you can totally tell that sweet innocent face of this and that is all BULL!

This comment is out of place. Jessica Sanchez has all the makings of an American Idol. She is an All-American girl - being a product of two races, just like majority of us are. She's exuding with extraordinary talent and the whole world knows that. You're just not a happy person, don't deny it!

It should've been Phillip and Joshua top two and jessica gone home. cant stand her. shes full of herself and her voice is ok but not what the judges make her out to be. she hasnt inspired me at all. well, phillip's my pic from the get go. hes got the whole package. PHILLIP ALL THE WAY!

Phillip winning is a joke!!! he has no stage presence and hes totally lost when he sings with no guitar. and everything he sings sounds the same and he has no range. Joshua was clearly the best of the season.....hands down!!!!

so happy, jessica made it, she will be at the finale.. cant wait of her performances.. she can be better than last night.. may be america voted on what they saw jessica did the whole season.. she deserves it cause shes been working hard for years for this... and american idol was her vehicle that has shown her hardwork.

I believe Jessica has the best potential to be the American Idol. Her voice is very much suited for the recording studio. Her voice is exceptional. Her high notes are full and beautiful. She is a rare find. She is still developing as a performer but she is ripe to be the next American Idol. Jessica is a rare find. 16 years old, excellent and still improving! The recording company who signs her will make a lot of money for a long time!

The top 3 deserved to be where they're at. I think Joshua has to go, yes, he is the best performer, but his voice can't be compared to Jessica and Phillip. Remember it's the voice you'll hear on radio singing your favorite tunes. Joshua tends to scream and growl at high notes, his vice seems to be from previous decades, like the Temptations, Platters, etc.

Phillip is totally going to win- if he doesn't it will be proof that American Idol is totally lame. Phillip is the best contestant that's been on there in a long, long time.

Last night when I was voting I voted for Josh via phone...the recording said, "thank you for voting for contestant #2. I did not vote for Jessica I voted for Josh...I wonder if anyone else had this happen to them?

Didn't it occur to you that you may have pressed the wrong button? The same thing happened to me too - But, I'm fine with giving Joshua a vote. I just voted again 2x for Jessica.
