The Who's legendary Roger Daltrey will be touring North America as a solo act - the first time since 1985.

The tour, named "The Use It or Lose It," will kick off October 10 in Vancouver, hit 30 U.S. and Canadian cities, and wrap up November 30 in Clearwater, Florida.

"I've only ever toured solo to keep my voice in shape. Singers need to sing," thus the tour's name, he says. "I'm looking forward to revisiting (the solo songs). I'm not sure which ones will stand up live, but I'm confident that enough will."

Daltrey plans to "re-approach" classic Who songs mixed in with some covers and solo material, some of which have never been performed live.

Daltrey will be joined onstage by a longtime collaborator, guitarist/backup singer Simon Townshend, guitarist/musical director Frank Simes, keyboardist Loren Gold, bassist Jon Button and drummer Scott Devours.
