Why the cast of MythBusters is full of atheists

The MythBusters is a show about challenging myths. Some of the supposed myths are true. Such as that elephants are really afraid of mice. Yes, I know it sounds weird but many people are afraid of mice also. Though we aren't quite as large as elephants, we are much bigger than mice.

Adam Savage, Jamie Hyneman are atheists, along with Kari Byron and maybe Grant Masaru Imahara. This shouldn't be too surprising that there are so many atheists on the show. Atheists as a group value reason and logic. That is not to say many theists don't do so also, well at least the non-fundamentalist type of theists.

Atheists don't take things on faith but believe based upon developing models for testing. This is what the show does. It tests a hypothesis and sees if it is true. No faith required nor wanted.

Adam Savage has stated he wants to do a show about natural selection. Natural selection is the main mechanism behind evolution. Simply a faster antelope will surive and pass on its' DNA than a slower one. I would love to see this episode.

We need more shows that value science, because we have people in Congress who sit on Science Committees who think science is a lie from the pitts of hell. I am looking at you Republican Congressman Broun. These people get elected based on the ignorance of the too many Americans when it comes to basic science. Hopefully, MythBusters has helped turn on young people to thinking scientifically.
