It is said that the Jews or Israelis did not accept Jesus as Messiah because their expectation of Messiah was to destroy their enemies physically. They were expecting Messiah come with a physical sword to destroy their enemies. Unfortunately, the sword of the Messiah/Jesus was His words.
Although one of his apostles sold Him for death, Jesus had many Jewish followers. There are also many Jews worshiping in Jesus currently but most of the Jewish consider Jesus as the then brilliant revolutionary man. They do not accept Him as Messiah despite the many miracles Jesus did to show them that He is Messiah. They are expecting another Messiah to come and destroy their enemies.
Of course, it is said in the Bible that prophets have no respects in their home country. Emperor Haile sellasie of Ethiopia is worshiped by the Jamaicans as prophet but as aristocrat in his country Ethiopia. Had the Israelis reasons not to accept Jesus as Messiah been valid? This piece is an invitation for a point of view debate.

Imagine this. Your son or your daughter comes up in front of a lot of people one day and says that he or she is the Messiah. What would you do?

Well, I will prove whether my son/doughter is Messiah from his/her practice and accept or reject. Jesus was heavenly in His Practice, Teaching, Words, Healing, etc. Of all Jesus was in the prophecy (Isaih), Psalms, etc. and cannot be compared either to my son or doughter who are not in a prophecy!!!

The Jews believe that when the Messiah comes, the world will become completely peaceful. This is one reason that we (the Jews) do not believe that Jesus was the Messiah. When the M comes, "the lion will lay down with the lamb", etc. Jesus came, and there have been wars after he did. He cannot be the Messiah to Jews. I respect others' beliefs, but I ask that the readers here respect mine, and others, as well. Otherwise, there will continue to be tremendous bloodshed over religious differences.
