Why sex workers of Nevada support Ron Paul

Prostitution should be legal and regulated. The reason that it is illegal is because of religion. Religious puritan beliefs, the same beliefs that less than 10 years ago made consensual homosexual sex a crime in many states, lead to bad public policy. In regulated brothels in Nevada, there has not been a single case of HIV infection among sex workers since knowledge of the HIV virus came about 30 years ago. Not one. How many thousands of cases among illegal prostitution have there been? Ron Paul will also get the government out of the drug war.

But that said, I still have strong reservations about him as president. I think the people he will appoint for example, to head the Environmental Protection Agency, would not strongly enforce our environmental laws. Or, with the SEC, our financial laws. So, Paul is a mixed bag but at least he brings an open and fresh debate on various issues to these presidential debares.
