NP Rank:
Will Dr Shah Rukh Khan ever Return to the USA?
Will the world's biggest movie star ever return to the USA?
Shah Rhukh Khan was detained this week for two hours at the US borders. He responded graciously as we would expect nothing less of him.
The American-style publicity is not something this humble star seeks as "he doesn't need any publicity for any promotion". But like it or not, he got it.
The actor denied that the detention and the publicity that followed was a publicity stunt for his forthcoming movie "My Name Is Khan".
He said: "It's not a publicity stunt. My film is coming almost nine months later and it's not a matter of pride to be questioned at the airport. I do not want to sound pompous, but Shah Rukh Khan does not need any publicity for any promotion. I don't need it either for a film or for myself."
Governor of California Arnold Swarzenagger has extended an invitation to him, but there is no reply as of yet. Maybe Obamas should do the same. I think they would have a fun filled evening.
And Canada may not be any different either, since Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt had a problem there and ended up shelving his project.
But SRK seems to be in no mood to return to the US so quickly unless it is for some urgent work.
In fact, it’s even being said that after this incident Shah Rukh may prefer to never shoot in the US.
Earlier Sanjay Dutt had a problem with Canada after which he never went there. It even resulted in producer Bunty Walia shelving a project which was based in Canada.
Meanwhile, with regards to Arnie’s invitation, it is not known if Khan will accept it or not.
Bigger than Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise? Hands down!
"This is no joke people. Shah Rukh Khan is the biggest movie star in India, a country of 1.3 billion people, thereby making him the biggest movie star in the world. I'm struggling to find a comparable here in the US. No offense to Will Smith or Matt Damon or Pitt, Cruise, Clooney, Angelina or whomever else you can think of, but they all pale in comparison. Maybe Michael Jackson, God rest his soul, or Madonna are vaguely comparable. Maybe."
Being stripped searched was part of his interogation.
"I am scared of the authorities and rules so I try to follow the rules of the country I travel to. Whenever I am in America, I have to report at least two hours in advance while travelling within the country for security reasons - they ask me to take off my clothes and shoes, and I do that," Shah Rukh told reporters in Mumbai on Tuesday (Aug 18), four days after he was detained at the Newark airport in New Jersey, US.
Indian official intend to take this issue to the highest level, concerned about prejudice.
Reacting to the incident, civil aviation minister Praful Patel on Sunday said that the government will take up the issue with the US government at its highest level.
"We will take the issue with the United States government strongly. Such incidents involving Indians due to their religion or nationality should not happen. We will not accept it," said Patel.
And just to lighten things up, he adds:
Shah Rukh, known for his humour, added: "If you want to give a tit-for-tat policy to American actors, then call me to frisk Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox whenever they are visiting India."
No matter what he will remain a heart throb throughout the world, not only for his acting, but for his kindness and warmth. A man of high conviction and deep morals, mixed with sensational humor. How could anyone one resist?
An unmatched actor! A loving husband! A caring father And a simple, god fearing human being.. Welcome to the new face of perfection.Welcome to the world of Shah Rukh Khan!

Asoka was the first movie I saw of his. I was hooked after that. He shows so much depth of emotion, infused with humility and humor, a powerhouse combination, considering his sultry good looks. He is confident in a humble way.
Makes Brad and Tom look like popsicles... ??? Sorry guys...
