Actor Will Ferrell eats reindeer eyes on the show 'Man vs. Wild' airing on the Discovery Channel tonight. It starts at 10pm and viewers will get to see Ferrell promote his new movie 'Land of the Lost', along with host Bear Grylls as they survive 48 hours in the sub-zero temperatures of northern Sweden.
The episode begins with Ferrell being lowered into the wilderness froma helicopter and then he has to hike through waist-high snow to get to a cave where he spends the night with Bear Grylls, eating grilled reindeer eyeballs.
"Nine out of 10 actors would not do that," Ferrell told the Associated Press.
Ferrell, who was unfamiliar with the show, was reluctant at first, but said after watching an episode that "this could be too crazy to say no to."
There were times when it just wasn't funny though:
"There were times when I thought, 'I'm too tired to be funny right now. I'm too tired to be cold,'" Ferrell said.
Ferrell describes the eyes as a 'gelatinous piece of rock'.
