Will Ferrell Launches Funny or Die On YouTube

Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's popular comedy site Funny or Die is launching on YouTube.

The comedy sketch site Funny or Die features a mix of well known, Hollywood talent like Jack Black, Lindsay Lohan, Natalie Portman, and Ferrell himself. To kick off the launch Ferrel and McKay did this video introduction to the channel.

Though YouTube is the overwhelming market leader in online video, the quality of much its content is not considered as good as rival Hulu which is very much professional, studio TV shows and movies.

Funny or Die as a Yotube Partner fits nicely between the two - having the stamp of approval by proven comedic talent like Ferrell yet with enough street creditability from its user generated content.

Not surprisingly the demographic for Funny or Die is overwhelmingly male. It will be interesting to see how many of those men click on those Youtube overlay ads. Funny or Die of course has its own ads and it would fascinating to see which brings in more revenue.
