Will Ferrell, Olivia Wilde, John Hamm, Masi Oka, Donald Faison, Thomas Lennon, Robert Ben Garant, Jordana Spiro and Linda Cardellini, have all teamed up with the satirical site Funny or Die.com, to make a PSA about health insurance companies, in an effort to drum up support for the health care reform as well as public option.
Check out the Funny or Die video
"Insurance companies are detailed enough to deny claims for things like typos," Ferrell says, facetiously, in the video. "If you spell something wrong, do you really deserve surgery? I don't think so."
President Obama has stated that he is open to leaving the public option out of the health care bill:
"As the health care debate enters the homestretch, humor can serve as a powerful reminder to Americans about what exactly is at stake," Justin Ruben, Executive Director of MoveOn.org, said in the release. "We were thrilled to partner up with the folks at Funny or Die and I think we've hit a homerun with this video depicting who exactly the 'victims' are in this crisis and the profit motive that will keep the insurance industry fighting tooth and nail against a public option."

Great video, however, 40 % of the american people are brainwashed by the republicans into thinking health reform is a bad idea.

Can someone tell me whats going on in the states wit this whole thing? I'm doing a project on life and health insurance and think this could really be something to put in my presentation. Anyone?

Hi Jessicaaaaa, You're probably done with your project by now, but I just wanted to give you some additional information. Here in MA we are required to have health insurance. I just started graduate school and they offered (well rather forced me to have and pay for) insurance which does not cover medication. In the last month alone I have spent $900 on medicaiton. Have you seen the movie "sicko"? I know Michael more can be a bit intense but the movie is worth seeing. You see, the point of the movie is that the movie is about people who HAVE health insurance. We all know there are TONS of people in the US without health insurance who probably die because they can not afford treatment. However, I have had health insurance all my life. I live in an upper middle class town out side of Boston. Shouldn't I get health insurance that is adequate enough? The point is: it doesn't matter how much you have, insurance plain old SUCKS. So, right now, I have to call hospitals to find out how much things cost in order to be able to have blood work drawn, see a specialist etc. But they won't even tell me how much it costs. I can't see my own doctor anymore with this insurance even though the plan details say I can. I'm not trying to complain but just get the point across that something is INCREDIBLY wrong with the health insurance situation in this country. Oh, irronically I'm going to school for nursing. I am helping people in the health care field and I can't afford health care myself. If you'd like to talk more let me know but I hope this helps give you some information you need. (And watch Sicko!) Oh, and ask your parents or friends about the "preexisting condition clause". I would explain it now but I don't want to overwhelm you. : )

Can we get this on TV?
They left out the gold plated flatwear and dishes on the private jets.
