William Levy Sues Girl Who Says Star Gave Her An STD
Spanish Soap Star William Levy is Suing Karla Alvarez and Her Mother and Their Attorney
Karla Alvarez and her mother claim that William Levy forced Karla to perform oral sex on him and then he gave her an STD.
Levy is furious at the allegations and says there is no truth to the story; he is now suing the duo and their attorney for $10 million in Los Angeles, saying that they tried to extort $950,000 from him reports the Courthouse News Service.
Levy is claiming the the couple's attorney 'maliciously misstated the facts' in order to blackmail him, while he knew all along that the story was untrue. He does admit that he was in a hotel room on the night of July 18-19 with Karla Alvarez, but he says she told him she was 19-years-old and he says he never forced himself on her. Karla says that Levy knew she was only 17.
Levy adds: "The allegations further state that Levy transmitted a sexually transmitted disease (hereinafter 'STD') to defendant Alvarez. All of these allegations are known to be false by defendant Lerman and Law Firm. None of these allegations were corroborated by the authorities nor is there any evidence which would support such allegations."
He says that they deliberately tried to damage his reputation as he is a TV star, and they corresponded their story with the start of his work on the show Una Amante a la Medida in California. Alvarez worked for Levy as some kind of personal assistant and tried to help Levy out with costume changes.
In July they spent some time together in his hotel room and she left at around 4am. It was only two days later that Alvarez filed criminal charges against him, but police found no cause to continue the investigation.
Shortly thereafter, Levy says, his attorney in Miami received a letter from Lerman, "implying that unless Levy paid defendant $950,000 in exchange for a release, that the matter would be 'shared' with the Spanish media and that suit would be filed in the pleading form attached to the letter."
He now demands $10 million for damages to his reputation, emotional distress, wrongful interference and extortion.
