It was sad to hear at the weekend that Willy Ronis, one of the great photographers had passed away at the age of 99. Along with Cartier Bresson and Robert Doisneau he was one of the people who defined modern photography. I was privileged to be in the same room as him at an exhibit of his work in Arles earlier this years. His fingers may no longer fire a shutter at the right moment, but what his eyes saw will be with us forever
