Windows 7 launches today around the world. At the Windows 7 worldwide launch, Microsoft reps pretty much apologized for the disaster that was Vista, promising that Windows 7 will be... more like Mac OSX, but for machines that people can actually afford. We'll see, won't we? The real loser here is Windows XP, which had a new lease on life for as long as the Vista gong-show was still being sold. Existing unsold copies of Vista will now be repurposed as shims to level out kitchen tables around the world.

Whilst demonstrating the new taskbar features, which preview hidden windows, Putt remarked that it was "Windows Aero, made useful". Not longer after he remarked that "Vista is starting to feel like a long time ago already, it's great".

What, you think your erstwhile Truemorist ever installed Vista? Are you high?! I may try Windows 7, but only as a virtual machine at first. On my Mac. But I'm not a fanboy or anything.
