140 characters is so played out... how about 1400 characters? Better yet, how about 1400 characters as a minimum? Hell, yeah. Enter Woofer, a Twitter "tribute" site, which asks its users to write 140-character screeds instead of 140-character soundbites. While Woofer will catch you if you just hold down a single key, you can still get away with total gibberish, or blatant repetition. 

What's weird is that when you enter any valid Twitter username, Woofer goes to Twitter, grabs their user pic, and places it next to your woof. I wrote my own woof, but anybody could just go to Woofer and punk me by pretending to be me. 

But you're NOT me! Just so we're on the same page.
