The World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) is causing quite a stir with their latest ad campaign using imagery from the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The ad offers an almost omnipotent view Manhattan as the planes crash into the twin towers followed a message reading, "In 2001, one of the worst tragedies in the history of humanity killed 2,819 people." The scene then shows more planes flying in the shot heading for other buildings in the skyline and then precedes to explain that 280,000 people died in the 2005 Tsunami, "that's 100 times more deaths."  The message of the ad is that nature is powerful thus we should respect it.

Yes, the video is powerful but regardless of whether or not we respect the earth natural disasters are just that, natural; they'll occur if we are respectful or not. Though the sentiment remains. The ad was only briefly picked up by the Brazilian press but has already gone viral.
