Wrigley Puts Chris Brown Doublemint Gum Ad Campaign On Hold
Wrigley has announced that it will put a planned Chris Brown ad campaign for Doublemint gum on hold after domestic assault charges were laid against the R&B star over the weekend. The company has announced that it is only suspending the campaign and will be making no decisions about dropping Brown until he has had his day in court.
Chris Brown was charged with domestic assault against girlfriend Rihanna after uttering threats against her in a vicious public argument. The fight happened just after midnight on the day of the Grammy Awards prompting both stars to pull out of their planned performances.

A company statement expresses concern about what it calls "serious allegations made against Chris Brown." He was arrested Sunday night for an alleged battery on a woman, and canceled his Grammy performance.
Wrigely said it would suspend any current advertising or any related marketing until the situation is resolved, adding that the 19-year-old should be "afforded the same due process as any citizen."
