Yo! The Official Obama Mixtape is Out
Yo, Obama gots himself an official hip-hop mixtape that is co-presented by DJ Green Lantern and the one and only Russell Simmons.
At this point, most of the hip-hop community is weighed in with unequivocal support for Senator Obama, but there are a still many artists who haven't been able to voice their political support through music...until now.
There’s been tons of unofficial Barack Obama themed mixtapes, but accept no imitations. Today marks the date of an official mixtape co-signed by Senator Obama himself along with DJ Green Lantern & Hip Hop’s Godfather, Russell Simmons. Twenty-eight tracks of music from Hip Hop’s finest, and you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure out the theme of this compilation. Check out the tracklisting and download link after the jump. Note: It’s one big mp3 file, we’ll get you the version with separated tracks once it’s available.

DJ King Most has created an unofficial Obama Mix featuring plenty of classic soul, jazz and latin tracks.
I'm also suprised the official mixtape doesn't include Young Jeezy's "My President is Black".

This was a awesome experience for me. To witness the crowd and it's spirit, to hear him speak in person was one of the most exciting days in my life.

Was just trying to download this and found it had been removed from one of the sites for some sort of violation. Am trying another site. Is the song actually good? Being over 50 I am not a good judge of this you know.
